There is a wide array of courses available in the area of aviation:
Private Pilot License
A Private Pilot License (PPL) is the minimum required for a pilot to take passengers up with them. Once you have your PPL, you can take your family and friends up with you whenever you go fly around. It is a license that permits the holder to act as the pilot-in-command of an aircraft privately (not for pay). The requirements to obtain the license are determined by the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO), but the actual implementation varies widely from country to country.
Eligibility Requirements
- 17 years of age completion.
- Minimum qualification required is a 10+2 certification
- A medical fitness certification from AFCME, New Delhi or IAM, Bangalore
In order to get a PPL License
- The student must clear the written examinations and a practical flying test.
- Complete at least 40 hours of flying time.
- Complete an extensive solo cross country flight.
After obtaining a PPL, if you desire to make a career in flying, you can go for the commercial pilot license training.
Commercial Pilot License.
Commercial Pilot's Licence training is for those candidates who want to make their career in the Aviation as Professional Pilot. It is a qualification that permits the holder to act as a pilot of an aircraft and be paid for their work. The basic requirements to obtain the license and the privileges it confers are agreed internationally by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). However the actual implementation varies quite widely from country to country.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum qualification required is 10+2 with physics & Maths.
- The age limit is in between 18-30 years
- The applicant must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- He/she should already hold a private pilot license with flying experience in the last 3 years
- The applicant must first obtain first-class medical certification from AFCME, New Delhi or IAM, Bangalore
In order to get a CPL License:
- The student must clear the written examination in the subjects: Air Regulation, Aviation Meteorology, Air Navigation, Technical Planning and also a practical flying test.
- You will need about 250 hours total flight time to get your CPL.
- Applicants for a CPL must also have completed a solo cross country flight of at least 300 nm with full-stop landings at two airfields other than the pilot's airfield of origin.
Upon completing those prerequisites the applicant will then receive an exam from the governing aviation body that consists of an oral and practical flight test from an examiner. After a CPL, you can build up on more flying hours, login 750 hours of flying time, clear the requisite papers and acquire a senior commercial pilot's license.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
AME focuses to train Trainees in Mechanical Stream and Avionics Stream of Engineering, It is dedicated in grooming a breed proficient, knowledgeable and skilled engineering professionals to cater the ever growing demand in Aviation Industry.
An aircraft maintenance engineer is responsible for ensuring an aircraft operates properly and safely. A maintenance engineer may make repairs, troubleshoot problems, conduct inspections and make upgrades to aircraft. Aircraft maintenance engineers work with equipment that includes specialized aviation tools, diagnostic equipment, computers, x-ray machines and power tools.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Age limit is from 16 years to 24 years
- Minimum Educational Qualification is a 10+2 in Physic, Chemistry and Maths. (Equivalent a three years AICTE approved diploma in engineer or any higher qualification in science with Physics and Mathematics)
- The trainees shall be subjected to a medical examination, before admission the trainee should undergo a through medical examination by a doctor, possessing at least an MBBS degree and approved by college in the prescribe format. Candidates shall not have any physical disabilities or colour blindness, which may interfere in discharging the duties as an AME.
After the admissions, the student must complete the whole course frame of AME of 3 years and will also undertake the Industrial Training that will be given to AME students for a period of six months mostly in the last semester.
Licence for AME holders is issued after completion of 48 months of work in the aviation maintenance sector and after successfully completing the written examinations prescribed by the respective aviation authorities of the country.. Successful candidates after obtaining Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License are having ample employment opportunities in Govt. Airline, Private Airlines, corporate, Public/ Private Aviation organization.
